As an Indo-American candidate, Bimal Patel has got the nomination for acquiring a position in the Treasury Department under the Administration by US President Donald Trump.
His name has been recommended from Georgia for the position of Assistant Secretary of the Treasury Department of a Financial Institution. Recently, he is serving as a Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for the Financial Stability Oversight Council.
White House Officials informed that Mr Patel was a shareholder and leader of the Financial Advisory and Regulation practice in the Washington, DCin the office of O’Melveny and Myers LLP.
Mr Patel worked previously on the Board of Directors of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in the senior position of advisor to Director Jeremiah O Norton.
Additionally, he was a provisional associate professor at the Stanford University and taught the undergraduate courses on the banking regulation.
Mr Patel acquired hid BA degree from the Stanford University, MPP from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and from Georgetown University Law Center completed JD.
