Neymar into FIFA World Cup 2018 squad for Brazil

Neymar is the latest and the biggest entrant in Brazil’s FIFA World Cup 2018 team apart from some new faces like Shakhtar Donetsk Fred and Taisson.
A recuperating Neymar got into the squad and injured leader Dani Alves got replaced by Danilo and Fagner in the Brazil World Cup team of few surprises on Monday.
The addition of Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred and winger Taison were the only surprises among the likely reserves for the Russian tournament.
Neymar has been recuperating from a right foot surgery in March, and as per the Brazil Football Confederation Doctors, they believe that he will be fit and be able to play on 3rd June in a friendly against Croatia in Liverpool.
As per Rodrigo Lasmar, the Brazil doctor said in a news conference in Rio de Janeiro that he examined Neymar on the weekend and the results were positive.
“This is the final stage of his recovery, he will be able to go to training sessions soon, and will play the friendlies,” Lasmar said.
Everyone except one of the coach Tite’s starting lineup in World Cup qualifiers got selected in the squad. They are Alisson; Miranda, Marquinhos, and Marcelo; Casemiro, Paulinho, Renato Augusto and Philippe Coutinho; Neymar and Gabriel Jesus.
Defender Alves, having experience of two World Cups, sprained his right ACL last week in the French Cup final and got replaced in the Brazil team by Manchester City’s Danilo and Corinthians’ Fanger.
Tite also called for other goalkeepers Ederson (Manchester City) and Cassio (Corinthians); defenders Thiago Silva, (Paris Saint-Germain) Pedro Geromel (Gremio) and Filipe Luis (Atletico Madrid); midfielders Fernandinho (Man City) and Willian (Chelsea); and strikers Roberto Firmino (Liverpool) and Douglas Costa (Juventus).
Brazil’s first match in the World Cup starts against Switzerland on June 17, followed by Costa Rica and Serbia in Group E.
